2.1 When to create a project workspace

Create a new project workspace for each matter, such as a new business sale.

2.2 Create a project workspace

  1. From your Dashboard, click Create Project.
  2. Select a Project Type, for example Mergers & Acquisitions.

Who should be the Project Owner?

The person creating the project automatically becomes its Project Owner. The manual recommends that the Account Owner or their representative create the workspace, rather than the client.

2.3 Edit your project workspace

Open the project’s Dashboard and edit the Project Details:

  • Project name
  • Transaction Type, such as Asset sale
  • Your client’s role, such as Seller (sell-side)
  • Any other Project Details

Click Save when you are finished.

2.4 Import and assign RFIs

Optional, depending on the project.

Why import RFIs?

Requests for Information (RFIs) are the checklist that drives document collection, normally from your client. Importing a template saves you from creating each RFI individually.

Import RFIs

  1. Open the project’s RFI tab.
  2. Click + Create RFI and select Import From Report Template.
  3. Search using keywords such as “Seller’s RFI List”. Select a suitable template and click Import.
  4. Review and customise the imported RFIs as needed.

The separate guide “How to customise Requests for Information (RFIs)” has not yet been supplied.

Assign RFIs to responsible users

  1. In the RFI tab, select the RFIs you want to assign.
  2. Click Assign and choose a person from the Assignee menu.

The assignee is responsible for responding or reassigning the RFIs to the appropriate project user. They receive an email when RFIs are assigned and when you send reminders.

Need to add a project user first? Read the project invitation guide.

2.5 Import a template folder structure

Optional, depending on the project.

A template folder structure helps users upload documents to the correct Data Room folders and find documents easily.

  1. Open the project’s Data Room tab.
  2. Prepare the template index in .xlsx format.
  3. Click Import from Index, upload your template folder structure and follow the prompts.

Template index not supplied

The original manual includes “click here” for the template index, but no download link or index file was supplied. Contact Due support for the template. The separate guide “How to Customise a Template Folder Structure” is also not yet available.
